Nutritional Deficiency in Kids- How to Fulfil

Things to Avoid 

Limit Calories from your child’s everyday eating routine. For this, limit the food items that have added sugar. Naturally occurring sugars like corn sweetener and honey can be the best source of food items. Choose cereals with minimal added sugars. Don’t promote your child to drink soda and sports drinks.


You may have noticed obesity in children. It is because of saturated fats that come from animal sources food items red meat and full-fat dairy products. Replace saturated fats with vegetable and nut oils that offer essential fatty acids and Vitamin E. Too much sodium is not good for health. Packed fried items like chips and cookies contain sodium. Go for low sodium products for your child.


A growing girl aged 2-4 needs 1000 to 1400 calories while a boy aged 2-4 needs 1000 to 1600 calories depending on growth and activity level. The nutritional needs change with growing age.
